I need to stop convincing myself I can actually get work done on Saturdays...

So after a trip to the MIT Press Dock Sale this morning where I acquired an odd collection of mostly economics related books, I came home, cleaned my room and did some laundry, and then while eating a couple of m delicious grilled cheese sandwiches, got stuck in front of the tv watching Part 2 of the PBS documentary on the Mormons for 2 solid hours. I'm sure I'll be watching Part 1 tomorrow morning. For those of you who don't know, I am Mormon (read more about this here). I don't know why I had never seen this documentary before, but I was quickly drawn in and enjoyed pretty much all of it. There were some controversial parts, but I think the filmmakers were pretty fair about their treatment of the Church. I encourage anyone interested to watch it here.

After watching the documentary, I became interested in some of the people that were interviewed and spent the rest of the afternoon reading things some of them had written. I doubt I will comment on those things here, as I don't feel that this blog is an appropriate venue for that type of discussion; however, during my research, I came upon a quote by T.S. Eliot that I found incredibly insightful, and I wanted to share it here:

And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time

I don't think I want to make any particular comment about the quote. I just wanted to post it here for all of you to read and think about. I think this quote has a deep religious meaning, but that it also applies to pretty much every experience we have throughout our mortal lives.

Anyways, on a lighter note, the song of the day today is I'm a Pilot by Fanfarlo. Check it out here.

First, Dr. J watched the documentary as well giving me more evidence you two should be friends.

Secondly, I appreciate the quote.
