Spring Break

1) I'm on spring break this week so I'm staying up late every night and waking up late every morning, and it feels great.

2) Yesterday I got back on a road bike for the first time since my crash and got to ride with some new friends for a few hours through some country roads just outside of Boston out near Walden Pond. It felt incredible, and I loved every minute of it. Due to that experience and a larger than expected tax refund, I've been inspired to get my bike fixed and to buy some cycling shoes so that I can have the distraction of cycling back in my life for my last midterm, finals, and qualifiers, just when I need it least but will love it most.

3) I'm not a huge fan of broadway musicals (even though it may seem like it since I'm talking about one for the second time in two weeks), but I have always loved Phantom of the Opera. I was listening to Morning Edition this morning while working, and I heard that the sequel will be opening tonight in London and then in New York in November. Anyone want to go see it with me once reasonably priced tickets are available in like 5 years? You can read about it here.

4) Even though I failed to get tickets to the Spoon concert before it sold out, I've been listening to Gimme Fiction a lot lately, so the song of the day today is Sister Jack by Spoon. Enjoy it here.

honestly, fixing your bike right before finals, exams and projects may be exactly what you need to make it through. I'm just saying. and I'm right, cuz I'm a professional.
